We discovered many years ago that a "one size fits all" training package just doesn't work when dealing with different companies and organisations.

The reception and security may be the first point of contact and the CEO may be better dealing with the incident rather than engaging with the media as any major world events have shown.

For these reasons we have a selection of half day, full day, and multiple day training courses for all levels.

Taking part in a half day media awareness course may give you that "tick in the box" required but it will only scratch the surface. Let's face it, who would have believed the impact of social media just 2 or 3 years ago?

We have clients overseas who run 7 or 8 half day courses over a week long period and companies in the UK who put there most senior spokespeople though an intensive four day course so the choice is yours and Media Answers can tailor those packages to your exact requirements.

Have kit - will travel! :

From our humble beginnings back in 1992 when a flight from Norwich to Aberdeen involved 2 touchdowns and 3 hours travel time, we have been willing and keen to take our courses overseas and this year we return to West Africa for the 5th time! In previous years we have run courses in Europe including France, Holland, Norway, Spain and Germany.

We made our first journey to West Africa in 2007 where we continue to return on an annual basis. Cairo,Moscow, Doha and Abu Dhabi are also locations where Media Answers have delivered training courses and exercises. 2011 included a 14 hour flight to Indonesia where we ran a week long training programme in Jakarta. Altogether our courses have come a very long way since our debut in Aberdeen!

From VHS to SD card

We really have seen changes in equipment over the years from full size cameras with separate VHS recorder packs that required 2 flight cases to the latest HD cams that record directly on to SD cards for almost instant playback on any PC or Mac. Media Answers have always kept up with the latest technology and, as equipment improves, we ensure that we are always at the cutting edge when it comes to recording, filming and production.

Some UK and International video journalists are using small hand held cameras for news and sport although we prefer the shoulder mount cameras for interviews and training. Using full HD for playback shows you exactly how you would appear on the 6pm news tonight so understanding why camera crews prefer to film you under certain light conditions is important. Our training will ensure that YOU and your company always appear at your best, despite the requests from the News crew.
